MEET OUR PEOPLE

We employ some 5,500 people worldwide. And while they may all join us with very different skills and backgrounds, they have much in common. They’re eager to contribute – be that a fresh insight, a novel idea or a well-thought-through plan; they love pulling together as a team; and they care deeply about the patients we serve. What’s more, they’re determined to develop themselves as well as our business. Have a look at the routes the careers of just a few of them have taken.

Senior Director of Quality, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)
St. Louis Headquarters (U.S.)
18 Years

I’ve had many different responsibilities since I joined Mallinckrodt, from validating and implementing new test methods to managing the entire quality systems and compliance profile of large facilities. I’ve learned that what may have been successful in one role may not be successful in another. What’s essential is that you understand and are effective through and with others. Now I believe our independence gives us an exciting opportunity to become one of the best pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world. Making sure we have an agile quality organization is imperative for that.

2012 - PresentCurrent Position

Senior Director of Quality, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)

I hope to help grow our business on legendary customer service and supreme quality. And I will continue to develop future company leaders and provide visibility and growth opportunities for our people. They have enormous passion for what they do and take great pride in our heritage. It’s their creativity, as well as leaders who are able to address risk before it becomes real, that inspires me every day.

2011 - 2012Previous Position

Director of Quality, Pharmaceuticals R&D

I moved into this role after a successful Good Manufacturing Practice Certification by a European regulatory authority.

2008 - 2011Previous Position

Quality Head, Greenville, IL

My goal here was to begin transitioning the plant from a bulk pharmaceutical facility to a dosage facility. As a result of developing a sound plan and starting the conversion from an API to finished dosage mentality, we completed a successful Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency inspection to meet United Kingdom regulations – a tremendous achievement.

2004 - 2008Previous Position

A series of promotions

The next few years saw me become the Quality Manager of the new Webster Groves Technical Center, act as Interim Site Director of the St. Louis facility and assume the management of all the laboratory functions at the St. Louis facility.

1999 - 2004Previous Position

Lead Chemist, Maryland Heights

I joined Mallinckrodt for the chance to provide therapy that changes people’s lives for the better. This role enabled me to do that as well as preparing me for management responsibilities.
